A Beer Dinner to 'Rival' All Others!
Two neighborhood anniversary celebrations deserve one amazing beer dinner! We here at Tin Whiskers recently celebrated one year in business, and just a few blocks away our friends at Rival House are prepping for their one-year anniversary celebration, which includes a collaborative beer dinner pairing food prepared by Rival House Executive Chef Andy Vyskocil and beer from Tin Whiksers Head Brewer Derek Brown, on Wednesday, June 24th at 6PM. Your $55 reservation includes a 5-course meal, five, 5oz. pours of paired brews, a Tin Whiskers pint glass and a buy-one-get-one pint card for our Taproom. The really exciting part about collaborating on a beer dinner is experiencing the amount of raw creativity invested in both products. As a small but growing micro-brewery, we have the flexibility to work with others in the industry to create custom beers to better fit the menu and style of the restaurant, and Head Brewer Derek never disappoints. For Rival House, he created the Ryval Beer; a 5.5% ABV, 30 IBU American Rye Ale. Regarding what you can expect to taste, Chef Andy states that, "in our kitchen we serve big, bold and spicy flavors. The malts, citrus notes and hops of the Ryval beer work very well with the food we create." Derek also brewed up a special firkin for the event; a sessionable pale ale that will pair well with pan seared sea scallops with fire-roasted sweet corn succotash and avocado burre blanc that Chef Andy has cooked up.
In Chef Andy's words; "I think I can speak for everyone involved when I say we are passionate about beer and food and we have a ton of fun combining the two to create a wonderful experience for our guests."
