What’s with the name?
A lumen is a unit of measurement for luminous flux, which is the measure of the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source. Being light, bright and sessionable, the Lumen Lager represents the totality of flavors in a lager style beer.

In the late 1800's, Thomas Edison made some of the greatest advancements with incandescent lighting. Some of the first commericially used filaments in his lamps were made of bamboo, and had efficacies of only 1.7 lumens/watt. By the 1920's, many advancements had been made, and the lamps were able to produce nearly 15 lumens/watt.
